ABOUT THE PUBLISHER
Jacques Myburgh is a qualified Executive Coach and Management Consultant, having graduated with distinction from the University of Stellenbosch Business School with a master’s degree in executive coaching, and with an MBA from Oxford-Brookes University in the UK. He coaches on all levels of organisations, with particular attention given to personal transitions and organisational change dynamics. He specialises in existential coaching for the transitional journey of midlife.
He is a certified HeartMath® Coach with HeartMath South Africa. These tools and techniques are used as part of coaching for resilience-building during stressful times.
Jacques runs various workshops, including the Manager/Leader-as-Coach, equipping the leaders of tomorrow with coaching skills and a coaching leadership style.
As management consultant he often works with small/medium-sized companies, monitoring their business performance through business dashboards and balanced scorecard systems.
As published researcher Jacques participates in various research-related activities, including the management of annual surveys such as employee satisfaction, employee engagement, and values congruency. His services include (qualitative) research consultation and independent research supervision for post-graduate students.
Jacques is active in the coaching industry, having served as past-chairperson of the COMENSA Research Committee and past-member of the COMENSA Social and Ethics Committee. He is a credentialed COMENSA Senior Practitioner (CSP) and Vice-Chair of the COMENSA Research Committee.
In 2018 he co-founded SA Coaching News and is now the sole owner of the organization. SA Coaching News publishes CoachingNews.Africa, Africa’s only trade periodical for the coaching industry and coaching profession.
Jacques has a strong background in Information Systems and Business Intelligence, having worked in the ICT industry for over 25 years. His roles included that of PMO Manager, Project/Programme Manager and Business Process Specialist, amongst others.
In his personal time, he is an enthusiastic nature photographer.
